I'm having trouble with these questions and the assignment is due monday could someone please help me^
Thanks!
1. Explain in molecular terms the relationship between the number of moles of a gas and the temperature of the gas? I was wondering whether we needed to assume the gas is at constant pressure or not...
2. If you raise the temperature of a gas from 20 degrees C to 200 degrees C, by what factor would the average speed of the gas molecules increase? I don<t know what a factor is. is it like, it would increase bya factor of 100 or what?
3. If the final pressure after the following reaction occured was 550 mmHg, determine what the initial pressure must have been:
Si(s) + 2CH3CL(g) -> (CH3)2cl2 (g)
I'm completely blocked on this one.
Thank you so much for your help!
