Does anyone how much a laptop screen repair would cost from Currys, bearing in mind this is a touchscreen and also a fairly new model?? It's cracked but the computer still works

I have tried getting one of those computer places to repair it but they could not find the screen online ://

    thank you

Short answer: it's going to be expensive.

Long answer: there's too many factors to actually suggest an accurate price. It's going to depend on the brand and model, how old the laptop is and if they still support it, the size and resolution and screen tech of the display, whether you've broken one repairable layer or if the entire assembly will need replacing, and so on. The only way you'll know is by sending it to them to have the damage assessed, and even they will probably have a labour charge for that. Regardless, it's going to be expensive.

Do you need to keep the touchscreen feature? Sometimes you can replace the screen with a non touch one provided the screen connectors are the same. Usually screens can be purchased for £40-£50 and can be installed by computer repair for £20ish

Very easy to purchase one online and fit it yourself. Will save about £50 that way.
