Never worked for them before but I've also got an interview. I'm going on the 20th May to High Wycombe - bit of a drive, but it's the nearest one to me. I've put down to work in either Bedford or Hemel Hempstead.

I really hope I get the job, it's good pay and would be good fun - I'm training to be a PE teacher so I love doing sports and games with kids!

That would have been easier for me to get to most probably but it wasn't on my sheet. Where do you live then? I'm just outside of Luton, at Uni in Bedford.

What date is your interview? Hopefully the interviews shouldn't be too bad

I live just outside Biggleswade, I go to the University of Bedfordshire but I am at the Luton Campus. Although I do go to Polhill for my books.

Date of my interview is this Thursday at 11am.

Oh well good luck for your interview. It should be ok, probaly just team activities and things?

You'll have to let me know how it went and what sort of things you did!

Reply 6

Thanks, I'll let you know what happens, it's a one to one interview I have, but I'm quite confident.

Reply 7

Hey, just wonered how your interview went? Hope it all went well!

Reply 8

Yeah wasn't bad actually, was a nightmare to get to it with so much traffic, but fingers crossed I have a chance. They got a few vacancies in Bedford. How did yours go?

Reply 9

I haven't had it yet, mines not until the 20th May! :frown:

So what sort of things did you have to do then?

Reply 10

Oh right thats quite a long way away. Well in my interview I was just asked a few questions on my previous experience and asked stuff about child protection as well i.e never be alone with a child and also giving positive feedback even when they are struggling.

Reply 11

Ah right, just pretty basic stuff then. Well I hope you get a place, and let me know if you do!

Heya All!

I just got a letter today from barracudas asking me to attend a 'General Selection Session', I will probably book myself onto either the 20th of May High Wycombe one or the 24th of June Snaresbrook (London) one. Anyone else going on either of these?

Is this a good sign? Has anyone been to one? What happens at a General Selection Session? Any tips at all?

Thanks guys!

I think thats where a group of you have to take part in an activity in which they give you a real life scenario and they assess you on how you handle the situation. I guess the best one's get the job from it.

Hey Shortiblu, I've been booked on the 20th May at High Wycombe

Have you booked youself onto either one yet?

I'd imagine there'll be some of those team activities, and they will see what we are like interacting with others, as part of a team etc. The letter also says it will talk in more detail about pay, the actual job etc so we won't be doing activity the whole time I don't think.

If you want to get onto the 20th May session you'll probably have to get in touch with them soon, as they should be sending out further information round about now.

Heya!

Yeah, I only got the later 2 days ago talk about short notice (hmm or is that because I applied late? lol)

Id prefer to go to the one this sunday rather than waiting till 24th of June, however high wycombe is quite a way from me and I'd have to bum a lift off someone.

Not sure what to do as yet

What positions did you apply for?

I applied for a Group Assistant. I got my pack through today telling me what's happening on the selection day and details for my CRB disclosure, so now all I have to do is turn up!

I have no idea what to wear though :s: We'll be doing some active tasks, but I don't know whether to go in smart and take a change of clothes!
