Friendship in University. watch

    Hi, guys
So I've been in uni for 2 months now, starting September. I've realised that I haven't made any friends which is slowly but surely affecting how I feel each day. I have a few acquaintances (mostly my flatmates, people from my course and societies). I wouldn't call any of them "Friends" because I've found I have nothing in common in them, they're just all super nice.
My fear is that housing for second year is coming up soon. Whilst my flatmates have offered me a place. I'm not sure if I wpuld enjoy being with them.
My question is whether I should wait until I find people I really click with and how long do you think or how long did it take for you to make close friends that you genuinely enjoyed being around (rather being obliged too, like how I feel atm)

If you get on reasonably well with your flatmates then personally I'd be inclined to take that option rather than holding out for something else which may or may not materialise. The risk is that you'll end up with little choice and end up having to move in with people you don't know at all. I've had to do that a couple of times and frankly it's not great. It's hard to really say though without knowing you and what the accommodation situation in your area is like.
