So woke up today to two conditional offers from my top uni UEA for environmental science. I applied for the bsc and masters and got conditional offers for both, I want to do the masters but in case I underachieve I can do the bsc. Now there is a year abroad option for the bsc. I didn't apply to it as it was AAB and the point of me applying to the bsc was due to the fact of the lower entry requirements (ABB) as the masters is AAB. If I don't get a place on the masters but do on the bsc is it possible to transfer to the year abroad programme? People I have spoken too said there is sometimes a lot of flexibility once you start uni and you can sometimes transfer. Is this true? Thank you

Subject to you hitting specified targets (e.g. a 2.1 in your first year) then yes, it is often possible to transfer. However, check with the department before committing yourself.
