Hi guys, I am stuck on unit 11 Assignment 1 with the merit and Distinction tasks. For now I want to focus on the merit, does anyone have a good answer or spare copy which I can see (wont copy) with the differentiation task on merit.

It's unlikely that you'll find someone who will be able to send you the assignment. Perhaps you could tell us what it is you have to do and we can try our best to assist?

Ok so basically I am going to copy and paste the Question for task 2 Merit.

Task 2 Each of the four tissue types you identified in Task 1 originated from one fertilised egg cell (the zygote). Produce a poster that illustrates the process by which one unspecialised zygote cell can become specialised into the four main tissue groups that make up all our organs. (a) The title of your poster should identify the name of this process.(b) Use pictures/photographs/images to help you illustrate the process.(c) Explain how the process allows the four different tissues that you identified in Task 1 to be formed. You should explain what has happened to the organelles to make each of the four tissues different from each other.(d) Clearly explain ALL scientific terms

Now I am honestly confused on what I have to do, the feed back my teacher gave was not very helpful. In short I had to explain the process of differentiation and have to explain how the endoderm is different from the ecdoterm and mesoderm by differentiation.

If you can help it would honestly make me happy. I have the chance to resubmit my M1 and D1.

Ahh ok, if I knew it was prenatal development I would have went back through my university notes

I'm afraid I'm not an expert on the subject, it's been 4 years since I covered this. I think the process is called prenatal development. If you know what size poster to use, I would recommend downloading a poster template from a quick google search. You'll need an introduction, what the poster is going to be about. You could then go through the processes, a flow chart would be useful for this with pictures. You could then start to compare the different differentiated with bullet points. You will also need a glossary section.

I can't do any research on the topic for you, since I'm quite busy this evening. I would recommend watching YouTube videos to get a good understanding of the process. You could then take some images from a Google search to add to your flow chart describing the process.

If you would like, I can take a look at a draft of your poster once you've produced one, just to check grammar ect... Someone else on this forum may be able to help you if you have any specific issues with understanding or explaining prenatal development

You could try and PM them to me by attaching it to your message, or you can go on my profile and email them to me using the built in tool. If neither of those work, I can PM you with my email address.
