    I do my ps alone and i work really hard for it. i kind of summarise a book to my ps and ofc there are like 2 sentences similar with the book but i do put a reference. will i be caught as plagiarising?

    If you are literally copying parts of the book into it then yeah its plagiarising. Not sure if you are saying a quote about why you want to do a course but that just annoys the admissions officer because of the cliches and how its not by you.

    If you have referenced the parts which you did copy and explain why you did, chances are you won't get penalized.

    Don't just summarise the book (sorry if that's not what you're doing, but I know it's difficult to talk about it in vague terms), instead focus on why the book (or a part of it) is interesting
