Post your ideas for MHoC debates here.

These will then be started by the Speaker on a regular basis.

What's the point of this? Starting a debate about something is what bills and motions are for.

It doesn't really serve a purpose though. We could just as well debate general issues in the D&CA forums if we wanted to.

The capital punishment debate has been a success and it makes sense to hold more informal debates. It's worth giving this idea a try - especially for newbies who may not yet understand Bill or Motion debates.

It seems to be fairly effective in promoting the MHoC. Perhaps we should hold an informal debate as to whether we start regularly holding informal debates?

Good point actually, I hadn't thought of that. Perhaps if there was a limit on how many could be held, for example one a month, I'd support the idea.

Seems a bit rushed. Surely we should first debate the merits of having a debate, in which we would consider the possibility of future debates?

We'll surely that would have to be debated first.

But is that not what we're doing now?

Trident- should it be replaced? (I think not)
Housing- the housing crisis whereby most young people have to pay high rents and cannot ever hope to be on the housing ladder.
