Is there any point writing up the notes im given in lectures when i get given the slides anyway? I tend to just copy them word for word and feel like it makes me need to catch up a lot and not a lot of time to read over them
But i dont want to come to exam time and do bad without realising that writing notes actually helped me

So should i write up notes then learn them later in the year or start reading them in stead of writing them.

    What do you do?

I try to go over everything as I do it.

If your notes are clear (that you're given), then writing them up probably isn't necessary. Just make sure you consolidate your learning yourself, as you go along.
Also, go over everything at Christmas. It's helpful.
