What does compsci at University entail?

Hi,

I'm interested in applying for BSc Computer Science at Nottingham, Sheffield, UCL, and two other Russell Group universities. I would like to get a better idea of what the course is like at university, could someone help me out please?

Includes but is not limited to discrete maths,microprocessors,game design,network security,graphics,web design,programming,etc

Have you looked at the modules for the unis you've chosen? That'll give you a great insight into what you'll cover and what options are available to you. Here's just some that Nottingham offer:



It's a very dynamic subject and you have tons of options for specialisation. Generally though, you'll find that mathematics, programming and system architecture are all major components of any CS course.
