Hey I'm studying French and German in 2nd year and would really love to go and work during my year abroad. I'm not that keen on most office work - something hands-on would be nice - but overall I'm not fussy (I'm also open to volunteer work).

I'm having real trouble finding a placement and the deadline's looming. Does anybody have any ideas for where I could go or what I could do, or any general advice on where to look?

Thank you so much in advance for any responses - I really appreciate it!

    Hi,

You might already have tried it but if not it might be worth having a look at the Erasmus intern website: http://erasmusintern.org/

    Hope this helps. Good luck.

One of the few websites I have found. Have you had any luck through them? Thanks

I'm afraid I haven't actually used it. It was mentioned on the year abroad page on my daughter's uni's website and I had a look at it because she's just started doing an ML course and will be doing a year abroad.

They had a number of resources on there too but to be honest I haven't actually looked at them, so I'm not sure how useful they'd be.
