Random variables help watch

1. A family is selected at random and the family has 4 children.
The genders in successive births are independent.
At each birth theprobability to have a female child is p.

(a) Define the random variable X representing the number of female children the family has.

(b) Give the probability mass function of X and sketch it as a graph.

(c) Give the cumulative distribution function of X and sketch it as a graph

No idea how to even begin this question

Hint, you have a number of trials and a probability , perhaps... binomial.

Binomial?! I would've never guessed that :/
