How bad does 3 AS courses look? watch

    • Thread Starter

I'm currently sitting maths, further maths, business, and history. I'm doing well in maths and business and okay in further maths, however I feel like History is very hard and the workload is immense. I'm really considering dropping History to make my other studies that much easier but I'm not sure how it will look to universities or possible employers. Does it really matter that much anyway since History is linear and if i dropped it at year 13 I would have no AS?

Any advice is really appreciated and thanks in advance to anybody who helps, or even just replies.

There are a lot of people who go to university with only 3 A-Levels. it's not going to stop you going. Having more qualifications could help, but it's not vital. Most people I know who've studied A-Levels at college only studied three and managed to do fine with uni applications, most of them have either finished or are finishing degrees all over the country now and a few even abroad. If you feel that the workload from History may negatively affect your other grades maybe it would actually make you better off, universities would rather you have three really good grades than four lower grades.
