so I'm writing my personal statement and I'm really struggling to end it...my teacher told me to just leave it with my final paragraph which talks about my volunteering but i feel like it ends abruptly...?
i have added a sentence at the end about how I'm looking forward to learning the subject in more depth at uni, is it better to leave it like that or take it out?
I'm applying for chemistry by the way

Read my profile for some advice, and don't make an obvious statement like you look forward to studying at university - it is a waste of space.

End it by saying what you hope to get out of university and how it will help you achieve your desired career.

It'd be good to put a sentence about your post graduation plans at the end. A kind of "Having obtained this degree I hope to go into X/pursue a career in Y which has been an ambition of mine since Z"

The final sentence of my personal statement was like this and I got offers from all 5 choices when I applied 4 years ago

You don't need to put down a career at all, focus on why you want to do the course instead (i.e. why it interests you) - sum it up

No. Ignore that advice. Your future career is irrelevant to getting in to university.

didn't give mine an ending, just linked my subject back to my ECs and it was fine

I ended mine with a small paragraph on what I would do after I finished my university course (basically made up stuff like how I would do a PGCE, continue further education or get a job)
