I recently sat the MAT test required for Maths at Oxford and Imperial. I don't think I done very well on the test, and I'm unlikely to secure an offer from either. However, I emailed the admissions tutor at Imperial and said would it be possible to change the course I am applying to even though I have taken the MAT, he said yes it would be fine and would not affect my application.

My predictions are 3A* and 1 A in Maths,Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics respectively. I would be changing from Maths to Maths with computer science. My main concern is that my personal statement is very Maths based with only a small paragraph on how I do some coding in my spare time. Do you think its worth changing the course I'm applying to, as Imperial is a university I really want to study at.

Do you actually want to study computer science, or is this a reaction because you don't want to be rejected? A month ago you didn't want to, so it's very soon to change your mind - and the fact that you're asking for opinions suggests you're not sure anyway. Wait a bit and see.

Tbh I'd be equally as happy with either. I didn't even know they offered a maths with computer science course because it's with a different department.
