I have two sets of data:

    Data set 1: 5909.2, 5909.4, 5908.8 (and a lit. value of 5896.0)

    Data set 2: 5907.2, 5906.7, 5905.4 (and a lit. value of 5890.0)

For each data set I worked out the mean:

    Data set 1: 5909.1
    Data set 2: 5906.4

And the correction values (lit. value - mean value):

    Data set 1: -13.1
    Data set 2: -16.4

How do I work out the error of correction for each data set and the mean correction in the form ___ ± ___ ?

Stats really isn't my strong point, thanks for any help

Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
