Just History or with EPQ?

Hi there guys,
I am currently taking Maths, Bio, Chem and History as my 4 A Levels (in my first year).

I am currently confused and undecidee on if i should do the EPQ along with these A levels. However, my history teacher has told me to forget about
EPQ as he feels that skills i will gain from EPQ, i will gain them from doing History A level. So he feels i would be wasting crucial time thatI could be using for my A levels. I want to pursue medicine as a career.

Do you guys think I should do the EPQ or are the 4 A levels enough and that History is enough to gain the same skills?

I would really appreciate any sort of advice.

If you do your EPQ on medicine it can only help your application by gaining a further knowledge of the subject. If not, do not bother as it won't help you in the long term
