    Hi Everyone,

I have been unable to pass the BPT exam and was hoping if someone good give me any tips as to how I should go about revising for it? For my last sitting, I did the question bank and went through the revision notes. Any tips would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

How far were you from passing and did you manage to finish the paper?

Makes it easier to understand if you should focus on exam technique or content.

Thank you for replying. I got 47 in the exam and couldnt complete almost half of the third question (three in total). Do you think the icaew study manual should be looked into or the college notes should suffice? Have almost a month before the retake, any advice on what my plan of action ought to be?

Okay, it sounds like quite a wide margin, so I'm guessing both content and exam technique is a problem here. Were you not able to complete it because you ran out of time or because you didn't know the answers?

I would probably spend time going back over the question bank and checking your college notes are clear and you know your folder inside out, in terms of knowing where everything is. I also would focus on doing questions to time as I think this would be one of your issues. Also I would check that you are doing a quick plan beforehand to check you are doing all elements of the question.
