I know where your coming from. When it happens to me I sit down until it passes. It's always one of 2 strange dreams I have and wouldn't be able to tell you what they are about. You know when it's gonna happen so I just sit down for a while and close my eyes until it passes. Very strange dream (thought) but never remember after.

This exact thing happens to me! Do you feel sick after?

I have this to however unlike a few people I don't remember some of the events I remember, generally they most be dreams as I am an active dreamer but sometimes I feel like they are memories and generally triggered in places where I spend alot of time. When I have this I always feel like I am experiencing memories and have remembered/ experienced the event numerous times. It always leaves me confused between reality and wether I am dreaming or not and gives me an intense headache/ nausea. I few people I have told have decided I'm pshycic and my dreams are coming true (which happens regular when I dream about mundane things). I don't think it's anything serious but when it happens info feel really off and like I could be physically sick and I have to leave the place it is happening and regain control of myself. I think I do have mild anxiety so maybe this is the cause?

Oh my god I've just come across this thread from Googling 'de ja vu feeling sick'... I've had this for years, random de ja vu feelings that make me feel dizzy, sick & like my head is being compressed... and I feel really nervous and worried for a while after... I've only mentioned it to a couple of people before who think it's weird & I thought it was too... I've just had it now & it's the first time it's made me physically throw up so I thought I'd check it out, glad to know it's not just me!!!

EDIT--
Okay, I was glad it's not just me but reading up on it more & i'm terrified.. it's linked to things like epilepsy and brain tumours.. eek :/

I thought I’m the only one having these sudden unrelated memories. Let me explain mine clearly. It happens very rare like 4,5 time in a year. These pieces of memories suddenly come to my head(bricks, crowd, birds, jumping, opening bottles, voices and so many, weird) and I’ll loose the connection with real life and it keeps on continuing and slowly I feel dizzy. I’ll try to reconnect my self to reality and run for some water. After that, I can’t remember the time, what day, what place, I’ll try to recollect present day bc I can clearly remember the previous day and all the things wat i did. After that all those memories pff gone I’ll try to recall but my brain gives me different memories which are broken which very likely to be my own very recent life events but not clear.I feel new, like soft reboot, virus scan, idk what are those memories matter. I’m sure those aren’t mine. 2,3 days I feel like clumsy, peaceful. Then I’ll think wat are these memories. Why,,, I can’t even remember a single piece of it. I’ll again start to live normally. It’s been 1 day now. I don’t know about everyone but to me I feel like its a Gift. Bc I feel really cool peaceful no stress after these episodes. I can remember all my past all the pain but I can’t feel that stress. This makes me strong even if some one leave me lol. U may all feel weird but unfortunately this is happening. Please tell me what it is.

Jesus Christ. Exactly the same thing happens to me! I've never really shared it with anyone though in case they thought I was crazy or making it up.. Just totally randomly I'll feel really funny and I start to feel terrified, then all of these images come into my head - stuff I've dreamt about - and then it all disappears and suddenly I'm ok again. It's really frightening when it happens and it's incredibly hard to explain, but when it's over I wouldn't be able to tell you what I saw in my flashback- I can only tell you what I'm seeing if I say it whilst it's happening.

Sometimes I write it down, but when I look back at the stuff I've written it never makes any sense. I just remember one time I wrote, " Joseph's amazing technicolour dream coat and orange". WTF?

Anyway. Are you eposides anything like mine? PM me dude.

Hi

You have the closest explaination of this to what I am experiencing. It's as if I'm having a flashback to a dream, even though I know I haven't had this dream. Lasts from 10/15 seconds, makes me feel nauseous and light headed, then it all goes away and I can no longer recall the 'dream'. It's freaking me out :frown:

Sounds like focal awareness seizures

I used to get this every now and then but lately it’s started to happen more frequently. I can tie mine back to flashes of dreams and I get overwhelmed by the feeling I had during that dream, though the actual events are hazy. Just a flash image here and there. It’s so weird because I really have to mentally fight off the nausea and an almost static feeling. It feels like slipping between two realities. I don’t know if this is similar to everyone who goes through something along these lines but I would love to know what it is.

Know im rather late to this post but have been experiencing this for the past 5 years, did you ever find out what it was? It is exactly the same but it can leave me feeling physically sick and emotional drained or confused in a way just not nice at all and it's started getting worse so really could use any more info, not even sure if this will reach anyone but if you've read this far thank you, I hope peace finds you all x

Mine are exactly that!!!! I have never shared with anyone either. Just had one moments ago so decided to look it up. They used to happen more frequently - much less now but I do not know why. Such an overwhelming feeling. Deja vu along with being aware that it was something I dreamed and not actually happening and not a memory of real events - so strange. Sometimes several dreams start running together when I am having the episode. Then I feel very shaky and sometimes nauseous but have never lost conscience. Have never sought medical treatment as it is so hard to describe to anyone who has not experienced this feeling. I do not like it. My entire body feels almost tingly. i feel better just seeing others with similar symptoms. it is something I can definitely live with and deal with since it is infrequent enough. Have you been to a doctor for comment?

Mines exactly the same. I always put it dow to monthly periods. Could be wrong. Can anyone relate to that xx

Reply 54

I have the exact same thing. I try to remember the images and quotes that run the cycle of it, but it goes so fast and it’s so disorienting that I can’t remember them once it’s over. And if I can’t figure out what they are, I can’t really deconstruct and demystify why they’re triggers.

Ok so I actually just started having these about 3 weeks ago and it's been getting more intense. I looked up a bunch of different things about it and this seems to match exactly what is wrong with me.First I want to say that my thoughts tend to happen pretty frequently, I know what thoughts happen seem to be repeated and they are really broken up and short but all mixed together and when they start cycling through or when I try hard to actually think of what these thoughts are, it tends to make me feel nauseous and it gets worse if I keep replaying the moments happening in my head. I also start to feel out of touch with what is happening in my real life. Usually this replay of thoughts happens anytime of the day, and it doesn't seem to be just during routines for me. It's getting more frequent. I don't even know how these thoughts occur, as I write this I'm having a few memories already running through my head and I just want them to stop. I can't even describe what I'm thinking of. And when it gets severely overwhelming, I can't even remember how to say things or read words. Im glad im not the only one but i definately do not understand why this is happening. However it did start after I got over a severely bad migraine that physically made me sick and to the point where I almost passed out throwing up. It was awful. I don't know if this health issue is related to that at all, but it worries me to some extent that maybe it did something to my brain. I don't know if these thoughts are from a dream or just deja vu. But they are definitely getting worse and sometimes unbearable.

I am Anna and I am 14. I have something similar too this. I will have a strange dream flashback triggered by certain things (for example, I used to be really into making music videos and posting them on YouTube. I watched a ton of others that did that too. If I think about that it usually triggers). I then get lightheaded and sometimes a little nauseous and have passed out before if I can’t sit down fast enough. I am tall (5’9) and it has been known for tall female teenagers to pass out, but this seems abnormal.

I have something like this I will just be doing something and all of a sudden i will get this feeling in my body which is very a scary feeling and I will start to see thing in my head but I can't remember any thing I see after it happens, then when it stops i will get a sick feeling in my stomach and almost throw up and I have a couple of time but not often. The first time I started getting these was like 3 years ago and I've actually fainted by having one. I really don't know what it it tho ??

Omg I've been looking for one that describe exactly what I have, i didn't really know how to explain it to people but when I read this it the same exact thing I get but I've actually been getting these things for like 3 years and I'm 14 now . I'll just be doing my own thing and I will look at something and it triggers it to happen or even if I'm just thinking about this it happens and they are really scary,I start getting really scared and see things in my head and there like chapters of clips in my head every time I have on its like an episode but all mixed in different parts and I always try to think of what It can be and where I've seen it before because I feel like I have , but I don't know. I can't really describe what I see when it happens, its sort of like robots things and something keeps telling me it's not fully charged??. It really doesn't make sense but I don't know how to describe it. I always go to throw up after having this and I've actually fainted by having one and it's really scary.
