Employment for EU immigrants rises 40x faster than for Brits are they take 3 in 4 new jobs. Is it time to protect British workers?

Id prefer we identify the reasons why immigrants are more productive than the uk workforce.

British people are not being forced out if immigrants are more hardworking or better skilled.

British people just need to straight up learn they're not owed anything by the world.

Employers paying under the living wage is a factor.

then how are the EU immigrants capable of surviving with such wages yet natives are not??
Do goods and services come at a reduced price for non-citizens?

Quite often, men from poorer countries come to the UK to work and send their wages back to their families in their home countries. Obviously poorer countries will have lower cost of living, so they could support their families for less.

You also have the fact that someone can provide for themselves on minimum wage, whereas, they may not be able to be able to feed a family. So some immigrants would be able to work for a lot less. In that case, a lot of working class families would have to rely on benefits.

Just a couple of reasons why they may be able to work for less. There are obviously plenty of others.

Interesting, these immigrants are highly efficient.

If we had a worker shortage, that would be true. But we don't. Even the most menial jobs have huge amounts of applicants.

Interesting views on radio 4 not too long ago. Low wages aren't a massive driving factor in this. It's more to do with the economic drive of immigrants and binging skill sets required in the uk. ( media studies degrees aren't a desirable graduate degree)

As the guest speaker pointed out. Economic migrants are likely to have higher employee many rates due to their desire to work.

Would you prefer people just stayed at home on benefits?

sadly they are often exploited, living in horrible conditions. People born in Britain wouldn't work for the conditions in which they live.
