Currently wanting to apply to study history and politics but recently want to major in history whilst keeping politics as a minor subject. I am also considering picking up a language at uni from scratch either as part of my degree or independently; although I have not reached a finalised decision yet.

Also came across Newcastle's Combined Honours course which looked good but would I be offered a place if their is already a history and politics joint honours course? Is it worth applying to both? Also worried that I can't do the major/minor structure within the joint honours course?

Any help/advice would be appreciated thanks
