    -Uses of the internet
    -History of the development of the internet, including technological advances
    -What the WWW is and how it is used (a specific aspect of the internet as a whole)
    -HTML overview
    -Variety of developments tools including CSS, JavaScript
    -Search engines and lead platforms
    -Client- and server-side processing
    -Compression techniques, both lossy and Lossless
    -Encryption
    -Sources

    Use the internet to look up things about the internet, you won't learn if you let other people do the work.

    Maybe if you asked some specific questions, an old fart like me could hopefully answer them?

    But some subjects to look up would be Arpanet, IPv4, subnetting in general. Or for some extra sauce, look up the search engines before google, namely AltaVista, Ask Jeeves, or even before the WWW. So BBS, IRC, subcultures like AmiNet, etc.
