Hello. So I was wondering whether this sort of revision would be too much for an a level student but I want to do my best... anyways, the plan is:-
I am creating like my own version of a text book that has all the information that the syllabus requires all put into my own words (simplified) and highlighted. This is something that I will use through out the year. As my mocks are coming up, would it be a good idea to get another scrap notebook, revise from my revision book, make summary cards, key word cards, question cards and review them every day as well as practice past papers, text book questions and worksheets. Then after the mocks, bin/store everything except the revision book and continue adding more context to it. When it comes to my actual exams, repeat the same process. Would this be too much?

The whole text book thing is probably unhelpful, as it's just like rewriting your class notes. The flash cards, posters etc are all very helpful from personal experience, but it depends on how you learn. Get a friend or family member to test you regularly, active revision tends to be better than just reading.

but aint the revision book thing helpful because you are physcially writing and reviewing the information? I am trying to make 90% of my revision active as it is much better... Could you suggest any other active revision methods?

Hi this is really good and I am doing something similar. Put the specification points before the revision notes so you know how to direct it. I do mine in notebooks but am still deciding whether to do it on word. Good luck your hard work will pay off

At the start of my AS, I did everything on word and yes it was faster, but I wasn't remembering anything and it felt like my revision was inefficient so I've just went back to the old style. It's up to you and thank you for your response, I hope your hard work pays off too!
