why do masters if you get a job from you placement at the industry; - i am really confused, like why waste that year, when you already secured a job in the bag.
Please guys explain why should you go for MEng rather then BEng.

    Thank you so much

    You don't *have* to.

But you do need 4 years of academic training to ultimately get Chartered status. Those 4 years don't have to be taken in one go, so you could do a 3 year BEng, get a job, and then do an MSc (1 year) later to meet the academic criteria. But you won't get student finance for the MSc (although you *might* get an employer to sponsor it).

On the other hand, the MEng is fully funded by student finance.

So from a finance point of view it's easier to go straight into a 4 year MEng than BEng + Msc.

Also if you do a placement during the MEng it *may* make it easier to get a fulltime position at the same company. But in any case, the placement is a good idea and will sit well on your CV.
