What are the differences between a nurse (child) and Midwife?

I am having a great difficulty in deciding what to apply for next year!
I really need someone who knows what they're talking about instead of just saying research, because trust me I have done.
What I really want to know is what are the characteristics needed of each job and where your passion should lie if you are considering each?
I am stuck and seriously need help,
If anyone could tell me about the daily activities of a nurse and midwife, that would be helpful thank you!!

In midwifery you deal mostly with pregnant women and babies where as with child nursing you just deal with children. I hope that helps
