I am currently the process of applying to uni and I'm torn as to whether apply to Newcastle or not. I am planning on studing Journalism and the entry requirement for Newcastle is AAB, however I am predicted ABC, with a chance of achieving ABB. Would it be worth me chancing using one of my options for Newcastle or should I use my final option to apply for a lower entry requirement course which asks for BBB?

Have you done anything extra-curricular/outside of your A-Levels that would give the impression you're interested in the subject?

I ask because I have CCC but I got accepted by Brighton who wanted ABB which I think is because I have alot of extra stuff like radio work, a blog and some other write-ups I have done.. (I'm a mature student so granted I have had more time to do this!) I'm sure you would have a chance if you can show that you've done extra things to prove it's right for you, there might be things you've done that aren't so obvious like if you've worked somewhere and done things for them or entered competitions etc.
