I am expected a first or 2:1 at university doing a non-law degree, so that's all good! But I have ACCCE at A level (last two are AS's). I couldn't have done any more studying, looking back, as I worked very very very hard but I was just terrible at those subjects! How significantly do you think this will affect my application to do the GDL at Uni of Law/BPP/Brunel?

I have posed this question to a number of legal professionals whilst on work experience placements and the general consensus seems to be that your degree result supersedes your A-level grades in a vast amount of instances so it probably wouldn't hinder you to much when applying for training contracts/pupillages as long as you had a good degree grade. I doubt it would be a barrier to you commencing the GDL.

Mate try to remember the student room is full of people who had 4*'s at a level at 15 A-A*'s GCSE, with a first (slight exaggeration)

ACC is not bad, and if you got into until and got a 2.1 or even a 1st then that is not so bad. Your degree with super sede your a levels by miles imo.

The issue isn't getting onto the GDL. The issue is getting a job afterwards. If I were you, I'd apply to firms before committing to the GDL, as if you get a job they'll usually pay for you to do it. You only stand to lose out from self-funding.
