Because my parents are earning over a certain amount im only entitltied to about £3,000. Which means that this wont cover accomodation or food or anything!! I understand that my parents are supposed to help out. But they wont. They really do struggle because they have to pay for care for my grandads and we are a big family so everything is expensive. I get it that poor people are entitlied to more because they dont havw a stable income. But my parenta arent going to pay for me not £200 a month!! Im not even including food or books here! So how is that fair at all? I cant goto uni because my parents cant afford it, but poor people can go and are entitlied to £10,000!! Which means they wont even have to work! I think everybody should get the same maintance loan! I will never be able to afford to pay the bills and stuff myself even if im working, i also have 4 brothers and a sister so my parents wont be able to send them to uni either. How is this fair at all!!

    Hi Daisy,

The guidelines on how we assess students are provided by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, so we are unable to comment on how these are worked out.

It may be worth contacting your University to see if they can advise of any additional funding available to you.

    Thanks
