    I need help on this mechanism reaction.

    C6H6CH(OH)CH2CH3--> C6H6CH=CHCH3

    I know it is an elimination reaction, but how do you go about drawing the mechanism for this type of reaction.

    1. Protonation of the hydroxyl oxygen
    2. Loss of water and formation of a carbocation
    3. Loss of H+ and use of the electrons to form the double bond.

    If the carbocation is primary steps 2 & 3 are concerted.
