HELP: No electricity:all fuse has blown watch

    Upstairs in my house all the fuse in the sockets that plug all the electrical like computer and PS3 and to have all blown what I do as I have no power how ever all power down stAirs are working ok and seems to be fine but all power up stairs has cut off and fuse has blown
    What should I do
    As a temp measure I have run an extension cord from down stairs to up stairs but how do I fix this or will I need to get someone to fix the for me and is an easy fix or gone for good

    Sounds like a RCD has tripped in your fuse box / consumer panel. Do you know where your electricity meter is? There should be a box next to it with a whole load of switches - one of them might be off, turn it back on and electricity will return.

    If you don't know what caused the RCD to trip, it might be worth checking you don't have too many electrical devices attached to any one socket, and checking all your devices are working properly.
