i had got through half of the exam in just over 30mins and i was soo pleased i could do everything that had come up some of the longer questions in 2nd half i didnt like n i could still have used some extra time! i couldnt do the simultaneous eqns when normally i have no probs with them n i hadnt got a clue how to do that chord question. i guessed n drew a 2nd radius on to make a triangle and worked out all angles n then got stuck n didnt have a clue what to do. in the last few seconds i just wrote 5 in the answer space so tht it wasnt blank!!
it was soo much better than the first one though - thank god - i dont think they could have mnade it any harder!

Not sure, I've never seen that sign<>< in my life tbh. I knew it said square of x, but I thought well 3:2, is that the square root?

my friend was saying that it said square root of x, whereas i think it said square of x. the alpha sign means proprtional to. but you are definitely sure it said square of x?
