How do you integrate cos^2 x? And for that matter sin^2 x and tan^2 x? Our teacher seems to have not taught us this yet it is on the syllabus?
Any help is appreciated!!

For cos^2 x and sin^2 x you use the identity cos2x = 1 - 2sin^2 x = 2cos^2x - 1 For tan^2 x use tan^2 x = 1 - sec^2 x. I don't think calculus with trig functions is p2 work though is it?

It seems to be with the AQA exam board.

Thanks for the help, it's certainly a lot clearer now!
