I'm on Edexcel but I assume the two courses are fairly similar, we obviously have to describe (AO1) and evaluate (AO2) also. I've bought a big-ish whiteboard (it's about the size of A3 paper) and I'm going to revise the evaluative points for a certain theory/study whatever (an evaluative question can be worth up to 6 marks only for us but may be a 12 mark describe and evaluate), then I'll leave, say, 10 minutes so I've absorbed the points and I'm not just recalling them straight away, and I'll try to write down what I can remember using a blue/green whiteboard pen. Then I'll get the model essay out and check what I put, adding things in that I forgot or didn't quite remember correctly. I think if you did this enough times you'll find it easy.

Also use cue cards. Not sure if it's the same for you, but we use the evaluation structure GRAVE (generalisability, reliability, application, validity, ethics) for studies and SODA (supporting research, opposing research, different theory, application) for theories/treatments etc. So for a study, using GRAVE, I'd write G R A V E on separate lines on a cue card, then write 4 to 8 words that are key to the evaluative point, then try to recall the whole point just by using these.
