Physics Question... Christmas lights

Ok can you help me with this please, I can't stand physics.

A set of christmas tree lights use bulbs marked 12V 4W connected to to 240V
1) how many bulbs are there in the set
2) Calculate the current flowing from the mains supply

An improved design of bulb has a resistor put in parralel with the filament.

3) What is the best value of resistance for the reistor when the filament has a resistance of 36 ohms; higher than 36 ohms, lower or equal to 36 ohms. And why?

Thankyou

not too sure about these,

1) total voltage = 240V , voltage across each = 12V, so total number bulbs = 240/12 = 20 bulbs

2)use P = IV..... 4 = 12(I), I = 0.33A

3) not sure
