Uea vs london

So I have a place at UEA but now I'm worried that I will get bored extremely quickly, also I'm not a clubber person but like the option and does anyone know how frequent house parties are in second year??

Hello Gem! We assure you that you won't be bored, we're the second best university for student satisfaction in the UK and one of the top universities for student experience (THE Student Experience League Table & NSS 2016).

I wasn't a fan of clubbing when I was at university but the Student Union venues offer a great compromise if you don't like that scene. You'll frequent the LCR on a regular basis - they put on affordable fancy dress nights, club nights, comedy nights, and music gigs too. Some of the biggest bands of today have played there recently from Foals, Years and Years, Maccabees, and so on. They also own The Waterfront in town for upcoming bands too. The cost of living here in Norwich compared to London is an important factor when weighing this up - and London isn't too far from train if you did want to visit the capital.

The Student Union also offers over 200 clubs and societies here so there will be plenty for you to join up and get involved with. They run socials as well as events to develop your interests. And there will be lots of opportunities to socialise with your flatmates in Year 1. Try the student bloggers for an idea of what goes on at UEA.
