What a fantastic way to promote equality and fair justice.

Porn star James Deen allegedly raped former partner Stoya and another fellow sex worker. He denies both cases.

This is simply a witch hunt against someone who is potentially innocent; someone who has now lost his job and has been demonised.

"McDonnell-Parrey told the BBC that she decided to terminate any future columns "almost immediately after seeing Stoya's post," and that their site focuses on "believing women"."

Praise equality!

****ing absurd! What happened to "innocent till proven guilty"

People/companies are quick to jettison those who make them look bad, even if it's just rumours. It's always been that way though. Just look at the response the accusations are getting on twitter. There are people calling him a rapist outright, and others saying "well I never liked him anyway, what a prick."
And it doesn't matter how many times you tell them it's innocent until proven guilty, people like that will never listen.

In a perfect world there would have been a hiatus... but of course, the poor guy has lost his job and won't be getting it back.

He'll get replaced by a woman, because we all know women can't rape /sadface.

This is why I always think in cases of accusations such as rape, paedophilia etc., the accused should have anonymity until (if) found guilty. It's so easy to destroy someone's life with accusations like that. I have a friend who knew someone at school who falsely accused a teacher of having (consensual) sex with her. It ruined his whole career, even though it turned out to be a false accusation.

Sighs at the law still being like that on a technicality. Annoys me that technically a woman can't rape someone, even though a woman can still force or manipulate someone into sex.

I was being sardonic.

Women can be everything men can be and vice versa... anyone who says otherwise isn't worth my time.

Taking women seriously = great, but since when did that mean assuming everything they say is true?

Prime example is this...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Rape_on_Campus

A feminist reporter wanted to make her point by faking a story about how a fraternity gang-raped a girl. Members of the fraternity got harassed and humiliated by the public and campus SJWs...

Why they took it to twitter to make accusations... sounds like crazy to me. Very unprofessional.

I really do hate Uni when it comes to SJWs...

Oh right, sorry!

Yeah, I get very frustrated when someone says "Women can't be sexist because of lack of power" on my course... I can't help but speak out.

Too much incentive for them to lie tbh. i.e they might not of been "paid enough". They might want the publicity. How can anyone have any evidence here?

Why just rape or paedophilia? I don't see why we need to trial by media anyone.

Just make everyone anonymous. Shouldn't be hard.

Mostly because they're the ones that are most likely to be life-ruiner sort of crimes if that makes sense, along with murder and stuff like that. Things like theft aren't likely to do much to you if you're acquitted, and also don't tend to garner much media attention, which is why I didn't really think about adding them.

You can still be a rape victim, whatever your area of work...

If he is proved innocent he could sue for unfair dismissal.
