Qts & qtls?
Good evening everyone,
I apologise if this topic has possibly been brought up a thousands times but this has been playing on my mind all evening and I was wondering if anyone could give me any clarification?
I have graduated from Northumbria University with a degree in Geography and Environmental Management and I enrolled on a part time PGCE course at Sunderland College which is accredited by the University of Sunderland. The course states that I will receive QTLS after I have finished, and I have read all over that this is now recognised as equivalent to QTS. But, does QTLS mean that I can go on to teach 11-16 in secondary school or just 16+? And will not having QTS make it more difficult to get a job in a secondary school?
