Executive and legislative are together in the UK, as government comes from parliament. In America, the two branches are separate.

The PM is not the head of state, whereas the President is.

In America the two cannot dismiss each other, whereas in the UK the legislature can dismiss the executive through a VONC.

The US has a separation of powers; the UK's system is sometimes described as a fusion of powers, although more can be read into that than is actually the case.
