Top Business Schools in the UK

Hi all,

I was trying to compile a list of the best business schools in the UK and probably in Europe because of the quality of UK education.

Aston Business School
Cass Business School -City
Cranfield
Judge Business School
Lancaster University Management School
Leeds University Business School
London Business School
Manchester Business School
Newcastle Business School
Said Business School
Tanaka Business School
Warwick Business School

If you had to rank those UK business schools, how would u do it?

Haha best in Europe? Ever heard of Insead?

there are SO many criteria you could use - ones I would consider would be
-average earnings of graduates/graduate employment rate
- accreditations
- amount of competition for places
- dropout rate
there are others too.

I am talking about best in the UK... sorry if it wasn't clear and of course I have heard of INSEAD.
I was responding to your comment that the best UK business schools are also the best business schools in Europe. I don't agree.

Well if I had to rank them I would say:

1- London Business School (of course)
2- LSE
3- Said Business School
4- Cass Business School
5- Judge Business School
6- Manchester Business School
7- Warwick Business School
8- Tanaka Business School
9- Lancaster University Management School/Cranfield

The rest are ok... but not worldwide quality I must say

Shady lane,

INSEAD is of course a great business school but in the UK you have a lot of worlwide quality b-schools and thats what we are talking about.
If you look at the FT ranking 2005 for top 50 European B schools
1- is LBS
and in the top 20, ten are UK business schools like: Said, LSE Cass, Judge, Tanaka, Manchester ... etc
http://rankings.ft.com/rankings/ebs
For 2006 it's different.
Whats the criteria your using when you say which has the best school?

For 2006 7/20 are UK university, I think that very good too!
anyways I think a lot of people will agree that the best business schools in europe are either from the UK or France. So no point really arguing about that...
The criteria of course is the quality of their postgraduate degrees, reputation, placement, worldwide recognition, rankings...etc
For worldwide recognition, the only ones on your list that rank are LBS and Said/Judge...although for the latter two it's most due to their being Oxbridge.

People at Cranfield wouldn't love that ranking. It's probably the best after LBS and Oxbridge(MBA only).

SAID /Judge
LBS
Warwick
Tanaka
Manchester

I have never, ever, seen any ranking that places Said/Judge above LBS. It is almost universally recognized as the best business school in the UK.
