Okay - so I'm going through my notes {OCR GCSE HISTORY B] + Looking at the WW1.

What I don't understand is that why were Russia made to sign the Treaty of Brest Litovsk where they are made to give money to Germany, but they are in the Triple Entente with Britain? It doesn't make any sense?

Lenin did this to pull Russia out of WW1, it's what he promised the people of his country.
