Theres not alot of individual career choices to choose...

Realistically we dont have much choice its either a STEM career or you're doomed to low wage.. and even then your choices are limited to things like customer service work or building trades, I dont think it would ve unreasonable for someone to say no career interests them as choices are limited.

Plenty of people aren't interested in a particular career.

At A-level they pick what they're good at and at university they study a subject they can do well (I think most geography undergrads, for example, only study it because it was their best A-level.)

Lots of people end up in jobs they hate, the job that comes to mind is accounting. Many maths graduates go into insurance/industry and hate their jobs.
