    I know that this is a slightly boring choice but I'm going to have to go with Oxygen. I don't know enough about geochemistry to understand the most of the conclusions you can draw from the fractionation of more exotic elements (talking about you, REEs...) but you can still do some really interesting geochemistry with oxygen isotopes. Plus, it's in water and we breathe it so it feels like a very friendly element! Very important in the solid earth, too. Makes up the vast majority of the silicate earth by volume. Generally a pretty great guy.
