Did you enjoy school?

How have your experiences first time round affected your desire to enter the profession?

Also, amongst the people who you know who study/intend to study teaching, have you noticed a pattern in their motivations to be teachers?
My experience of school sucked as it went a really bad community school :s-smilie:

I know people usually go into the profession for the stability and the decent wages. But that is based on what I gather from just two people. So it may not be complete fact.

I loved every second of my primary school education and I strongly believe that this had an impact on my career choice.
Some of my primary school teachers were fab and I will always remember them and some of the lessons they taught.
I am doing a PE teaching course and I ruddy loved PE/ games/ sport at school so I guess thats why I am doing it.

My defining memory of school is learning that two of my friends in year 10 were being regularly sexually assaulted by the headmaster.

...........Yikes :s-smilie:

I coasted through secondary school being a little ****, doing very little and hating pretty much every subject. I only went to sixth form because I couldn't be arsed to get a proper job....
