The more people proud to be British the better. Its the only thing this ****hole of a country stands for these days.

On the other hand, with the best sence of humour, the best cars, and we invented everything good, even if we are stupid enough to sell all our tech to other countries.

Am I Proud To be British....Yes I Am. I Drive A British Car by The Way.

yes and no

I dont like being British for looking at our trains.
I like being British for our long cultural past.

There are plenty more reasons, but they are the only two I can think of at the moment.
whats so good about being british?

As someone born in Southampton, and educated variously in a comprehensive school in Hampshire, primary school in Bangkok in Thailand, and now living in Hong Kong, it's hard for me to say. It sort of gives you a detachment. I'm proud of so much in the past, particularly the social welfare innovations after WW2. But equally, i hate the parocialism and the sense that we have more power than we actually do that i see and hear whenever i'm in the uk. that's going to cause huge problems in an age increasingly without borders. Being 'British' I think will mean less and less and less, being a world citizen more and more.
