why do people think its ok to forget about someones past when going into marriage?

whats the logic behind this?
would you marry a 'reformed' murderer?
would you marry a 'reformed' club hoe?

No. I would marry a modest, moral, honest person who I could trust.

Do they? :s-smilie:
Past is not in the past. It's reasonable representation of what's in store for the future.

No they don't. Only the temptation put in front of them does.
I would marry a reformed ham.

Not everyone who gets divorced does so because of affairs.

A murderer? It would depend on the circumstances I guess. If I truly did believe they were a different person now, or there were reasons behind it, I wouldn't say never but it'd be a big deal of course.

A "club hoe"? How ridiculous is that. So what if she's had other partners in the past, this ain't the 19th century and I feel sorry for those of you who's masculinity is fragile enough to be worried by her having had sex with others in the past because you clearly lack confidence in your own ability and attractiveness to keep her with you

lolwut

whats musculine about spending money, time and resources on a woman that has had 40 other men ejaculate inside her?

would any self respecting person who had options do the above, when there are perfectly good women out there who dont sleep around?

i'd like you to refute this...

Let's turn evidence of Spouse 1's questionable life decisions and values into an attack on Spouse 2's character!

Perfectly good might not be the best, and when you're marrying a gal you're assuming that she's the best around for you at the present time (unless you're planning on bumping her off and taking her money of course but errr... hm). So perhaps these "perfectly good" women don't have certain good things that this hoe that has had 40 loads in her over the course of her life.

Besides if it's been l years since the last time she did somebody other than you and she's never cheated on you then why do you need to care how many guys she's been with? I can't find much of a rational reason behind it myself.

its statistically extremely unlikely that the person they marry will be the 'best' person for them. There are probably hundreds of other women that would be marginally better for them, but because they havent meet these women yet, the assume to their detriment that the one they currently have is indeed the best when they probably arent

you think someone who sleeps around is going to change their old habits all of sudden, even if they think they have found the 'one'?

its the same reason guys dont generally want to marry hookers or porn stars, go figure...

Yeah I never said otherwise. I don't think somebody would call off a wedding on the basis of an alleged better person they haven't met, tho

There's no reason why they can't, I can see why some people would be willing to take the chance.

I would marry a ham that hasn't even reformed yet since technically it's more likely to be soaked in rum.
