Hi guys I'm new to tsr and don't even know if I'm posting in the right place. I would really appreciate any help because we're doing some practical work in Biology about yeast and respiration rate and how it's affected by concentration of solution (NaCl) and we need to know why you should leave the yeast for 5 mins after mixing it with NaCl before measuring respiration rate, also how carbon dioxide is produced during anaerobic respiration of yeast and what protein help the yeast during respiration/what protein is in the yeast cell . How NaCl affects tertiary structure and what osmosis effect on yeast cell in NaCl solution. Thanks so much

"why you should leave the yeast for 5 mins after mixing it with NaCl before measuring respiration rate"
This will allow the suspension to equilibrate. You should also agitate the test tube during this period to ensure the NaCl is thoroughly mixed.
"how carbon dioxide is produced during anaerobic respiration of yeast"
Decarboxylation from the krebs cycle produces carbon dioxide.
Yeast is an organism that respires both anaerobically and aerobically.
"what osmosis effect on yeast cell in NaCl solution"
in 0% suspension, pure water therefore the cell will most likely burst.
higher conc: no longer pure, net movement out of the cell as WP is very negative. Leads to plasmolysis

enzymes such as pyruvate decarboxylase and ethanol dehydrogenase
yeast has many proteins such as enzymes, na channels etc.
