City started as a group of small colleges and eventually gained University status. Its specialist subjects are Business, Journalism and other professional courses at which it excels.

A great deal of nonsense is talked on TSR about the image or certain Unis. Its mostly marketing nonsense and 'branding' cooked up by the Universities themselves - or teenager 'I think' without any real knowledge. Don't worry about it. City is a 'good' Uni with a sensible reputation for delivering high quality training in vocational areas. If the course is what you want to do and you have visited the Uni and like the environment there, go for it. You will not have a problem in the job market with a degree from City.

Although you should bear in mind the fact that they will have close links to the City so will be good for future job prospects...

Hey, so I got an offer of AAB from city university to study economics, however people say it isn't a great uni, can i please get feedback from other people applying to this uni or people who are currently at this university on whether it is good ACADEMICALLY and SOCIALLY

4th year student here at City University.

Social - Very Poor
Academic - Cass is very good, others are okay but it depends on the degree
Graduate/Job opportunities - Very good

Don't let the social aspect put you off, it's a good uni for placements and grad opportunities
Economics offered by City, not very good

Cass courses are reputable to a degree
Has anyone had an offer for Acc&Fin ?
I got an email about City connect which is something they send to only offer holders, turns out I have no offer yet! I got so excited too as its my choice university

Has anybody got an offer for radiography and is considering it as their firm? i've started looking at accommodation but only one of the accommodations seems to last till the end of the course (first year). Have i missed something or does anybody know how the accommodation works for NHS courses as they are longer?

Are there any offer holders' days that are coming up that you have been invited to? If you are able to go to them, I would recommend it, just to find out a bit more about the uni. (If you haven't been to open days, that is).

That's amazing! Congratulations

When did you get the offer (and when did you apply)? What are your GCSEs and AS grades if you don't mind me asking?

Hi! I've been looking at accommodation and I think they all give the option to pay for extra weeks if they are needed. I'm not 100% sure but I think so. Which is the one that you're looking at?
