Yeah you can probably get a solid CB from Serie A anyway. Plus this most likely means that Benatia is available.

It's also a shame that Badstuber is made of glass.

United fans that want to sell Depay already are the worst.

Lamela is a fine example of why you should have patience when there is potential.

Yh but can you see Depay displacing Martial who is the preffered option on the left? Martial has been very effective when coming in from the left and he has massive potential himself.

Martial's future is up top Imo, he is a natural finisher. When we actually learn to play 4 4 2 then we can play rashford and martial up top with depay left and mata/lingard on the right and our cms sorted

Mourinho doesn't play with a 4-4-2 though? Pretty sure he normally plays with a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1.

Yeah he goes 4-4-2 mid game(or 4-2-4) but he rarely plays without a 3 man midfield. For him a 3 man midfield wins because there's always a player between the lines while you don't get that with a natural 4-4-2.

Heck Simeone plays a 4 man midfield rather than a typical 2 central players two wingers which allows him

Atlético use a 4-4-2, although it's a different 4-4-2 to the type English football is accustomed to and the PL Champions elect have used a 4-4-2 variation all season. It works if you have hard working midfielders in the centre. It also has its advantage that it allows your players to cover the most space on the pitch.

Real also played 4-4-2 quite a lot under Ancelotti, in the attacking phase in particular Ronaldo plays as a second striker while a central positioned midfielder moves out wide(Di Maria in 13/14, Rodriguez in 14/15) .

That being said United don't have the midfield to suit a 4-4-2. It's nowhere near dynamic and robust enough, out of the players in central midfield, only Schneiderlin realistically suits the 4-4-2. Had Schweinsteigger come age 26 it would have been a perfect combination but he's old now.

Well what Masked freak is describing is more likely the old fashioned 4-4-2 with two CM's and two wingers and two strikers. I don't see Mourinho deploying it for the sake of having both Martial and Rashford up top with Depay on the left, maybe in your odd game here or there but not as a standard formation. Depay needs to step up really otherwise Mourinho could easily phase him out.

Yeah. I was more saying that in response to the '1990s' comment. I doubt Mourinho is going to play 4-4-2 anyway at United like I mentioned at the start of my post and the end of my post.
Diamond is the one
Well we cant fit herrera mata and rooney onto the pitch at once unless we do something drastic

Why would you want to do that?

My strongest XI with players from our current squad wouldn't include any of them.

Why is Rooney playing in central midfield?
Why is TFM playing in central defence?

Silly lineup!

Told you he wouldn't come here bruh, he knows he can get in a better team

Forgetting about price, do you not rate Stones?

Nah, too overrated. Guy can't even get into the team ahead of Mori lol.

Would have liked Laporte.
