It's difficult to know how far down the negotiation path United were with Sanches - obviously on today's news, not far enough as Bayern got the deal done quickly. I'd not seen enough of him so difficult to say how he'd have fitted in but it's not a good sign for the summer if Woodward is going to be this slow on purchasing players but the whole transfer plan since 2013 has been bit directionless plus the uncertainty of LVG's future, it could be another Fellaini-style transfer day of 2013!

Exactly.

Fine. I take the point that we probably should have arrived earlier given the occasion at Upton Park. However it's completely arrogant of him to claim the bus wasn't damaged.
