Maths questions help

rdrf.pnghi, could someone help with questio 2c 3. i have factorised and got the two x values but cannot seem to draw it
for line of symetry i got -4
for vertex (-4,25)
factorising x=9 and x=-1

You only seem to be missing the point where it intersects the y-axis.

Do you have any ideas for this?

And why specifically are you unable to draw it?

point where it intersects y is at 9
i know how to draw these but this one does not seem to work out.

Can you explain what you mean? You seem to have all the information.

Do you what the general shape will be?

Plot all of the points you know and then draw a curve that goes through all of them.

heres a little sketch i just did hopefully u can read my handwriting

from the equation, we know it's a sad face (the x^2 is negative)
we know the intersections at the axes are (-9,0) (1,0) and (0,9)
and the maximum point also the line of symmetry is (-4,25)

U can sketch this curve easily now just plot all these points and join them.

Ur X-Intercepts are wrong. they are the opposite sign

I just noticed that your x values are wrong. Have another go and post your working if you get the same thing.

ive been tought that you swap the sign in the bracket

i said x intercept not ur maximum point. the line of symmetry is correct
